The Barn at Honeysuckle Hill · Asheville, North Carolina

A wedding day, cradled by the Blue Ridge.

A century-old equestrian estate, seven miles from downtown Asheville. A red-barn hayloft chapel, a lily pond with a waterfall, nine acres of garden — held for a single couple at a time.

We fell in love at the University of Tennessee, came home to Chris's Asheville roots, and went looking for a place to raise our two — Cruz and Caris. We found a quiet nine-acre working farm seven miles from downtown, and we knew.

We restored the century-old red barn — fitted it with 100-year-old church pews, hung handcrafted industrial chandeliers from the hayloft beams, and let the natural knotted wood and stonework speak for itself. We traced a stone path past a lily pond with its own waterfall, planted honeysuckle along the fences, and opened the gates.

Today the estate hosts one couple at a time. Candace brings a decade of planning through Mingle Events to every day — and we believe in the beauty of imperfections, the vintage teacup, the slightly crooked path. The morning is yours. The field is yours. The sunset behind the Blue Ridge is yours.

Chris & Candace Hightower — your hosts.

Fourteen years married, two kids — Cruz and Caris — and a working nine-acre farm they restored by hand. Chris is an Asheville native; Candace brings over a decade of wedding planning through Mingle Events to every couple who books the hill.

"The real star was our planner Candace. I gave her an idea of what I wanted and she ran with it and exceeded every expectation. It didn't feel like she was our planner — she was our friend."
